Job Summary and General Purpose of Position:
Provides human resource, and administrative support to Kett's office locations, Customers, and Employees. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; completing new hire verifications to ensure all on-boarding requirements are complete, HRIS data entry/verification, pulling/compiling reports, file maintenance and providing general administrative support to Kett's HR team based in our Torrance office.
This position is privy to confidential information and as such, requires diplomacy and discretion. The HR Admin understands the requirement for flexibility and accommodates shifting priorities while representing and supporting Kett Engineering's recruiting and human resource functions.
Essential Functions:
- Processes new hire, rehire, transfer, status change, or termination documentation to include service date adjustments, vacation/sick, shift, pay change in Kett's HRIS system
- Enters and maintains employee data in Kett's HRIS (Paycom) to include shift, status, and salary changes
- Compiles and pulls periodic reports from Kett HRIS and assists with compliance reporting
- May assist in contacting employees to communicate status changes with employees
- Calculate and process final wage payments
- Draft and mail termination letters and status change notifications
- Provides and sends employee communications when requested
- May assist and serve as a back-up to Kett's HR Coordinator in preparing the office for guests, greeting guests and employees, and ordering office supplies and maintaining appropriate inventory of supplies
- Processes requests for information and verifications of employment in compliance with Company policies
- General office duties including scanning/faxing documents, typing correspondence, filing, data entry, and maintenance of various employee and/or customer paperwork
- Evaluate and recommend methods of enhancing/improving current programs
- Perform additional duties assigned as needed

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Skills/Experience - Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to build trust with employees at all levels and work with internal and external business partners. One (1) to two (2) years of administrative experience. Careful attention to detail. Highly organized and proactive. Professional appearance. Good phone etiquette required. Must do things in a timely, professional, and accurate manner. General office/administrative skills: filing, typing, scheduling, faxing, copying, scanning, etc. Open and proactive communicator with willingness to help others. Well-versed in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Some experience with recruiting and/or HR strongly preferred. Education - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Job requires sitting at a desk, standing, walking and bending for approximately 8 hours on a daily basis. Must be flexible and available to work overtime and odd hours including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and, where applicable, a physical.
