Description

Our client, a global leader in Commercial Real Estate and Facilities Management is seeking multiple Mechanical/HVAC Technicians due to business growth in their Data Center practice. This position is part of a multiple site 300 MegaWatt Data Center with a large growing staff. This full time role will work onsite in Ashburn, VA pays a rate of $40-$45hr based on certification/experience and seeks a candidate to work M-F 6am-2pm. This role contains an ample vacation plan and a strong benefit package.

This Data Center divides its staff into Electrical and Mechanical skill sets. This role is strictly MECHANICAL/HVAC and this staff is dedicated to 1,000+ Vertiv DX CRACs and rooftop condensers. The key to this role is past experience in the MECHANICAL/HVAC realm, performing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation. The incumbent will:

• Be responsible for the daily performance of preventative and corrective maintenance work.
• Perform HVAC repairs & replacements including refrigeration circuit maintenance
• Work with and repair Vertiv DX CRAC units
• Work with Vertiv Liebert MC Microchannel Coil Condensers.
• Work with and repair Vertiv™ CoolPhase Perimeter DA050-165, R-454B
• Work with i-Com Vertiv CRAC Controls Systems (BAS)
• Replace compressors and handle refrigerant
• Perform Motor & compressor replacements
• Troubleshoot Low voltage and mechanical issues.
• Perform daily Rounds and readings
• Respond to and perform minor operations and maintenance activities

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years experience working in an HVAC/Mechanical role troubleshooting, fixing and monitoring mechanical/facilities equipment
• 1+ years functioning as an HVAC Engineer or high end HVAC Technician in a commercial setting.
• 1+ years working in a Critical Facilities Environment (Data Center/Hospital/airport, etc)
• Experience with Data Center equipment (CRAC, Coil Condensers, DC BAS Systems, etc.)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools for documentation purposes

Preferred but not required

• CFC Universal license
• Any experience with Vertiv Liebert MC Microchannel Coil Condensers.
• Any experience with Vertiv™ CoolPhase Perimeter DA050-165, R-454B
• Any experience with i-Com Vertiv CRAC Controls Systems
• EPA Certification
• Any Critical Facilities license
• Degree or classwork from any HVAC technical school
