Hydro Yard Helper/Technician

The Hydro Yard Helper/Technician is responsible for aiding Hydro yard employees with various duties in a safe manner at onshore locations.

Job Location: Houma, La. (Local Listing)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist other employees by performing various duties or tasks in the Hydro Yard
  • Clean all fittings for piping and structural areas, utilizing bevel band for cutting
  • Use Hydraulic and pneumatic torquing/impact tools
  • Rig and bolt flange makeups
  • Work around heavy equipment
  • Learn to perform Hydrostatic testing
  • Maintain clean working areas and practices good housekeeping
  • Clean and return tools and equipment to proper place after use
  • Ensure that water coolers are filled as needed
  • Obey and follow all safety rules and policies
  • Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor
Minimum Qualifications And Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • 1+ years of experience
  • OQSG CT 37 conducting pressure test/Veriforce CT501 Conducting pressure test or equivalent certification preferred
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic level mathematical skills
  • Ability to utilize various power tools
  • Must have the ability to perform work accurately
  • Must be reliable and have good time management skills
  • For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
  • For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
