Inbound Freight Mananger

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for finding, negotiating, and booking inbound freight for the asset fleet
• You will set up and maintain contracts, including credit checks, and work with drivers to establish Hours of Service, work constraints, and communicate with the Dispatch manager on total fleet continuity
• Track drivers to make sure schedules are adhered to and communicate with Brokers
• You will effectively collaborate with Customer Service and other internal operational groups
• Coordinate pickups for customers, track Owner/Operator pay, and load money on cards for lumpers
• Handle various data entry tasks and be familiar with Hours of Service and driver schedules
• You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business process and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST

Requirements:

• Take ownership of your Duty to Communicate all required and relevant information to necessary people, departments, and customers
• 1+ year experience in the transportation industry
• Excellent coordinating skills in order to handle multiple logistics responsibilities
• Attention to detail for data entry, record-keeping and counting incoming parcels
• Strong negotiating skills
• Excellent customer service
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
