Janitor/Machine Cleaner

Janitor / Machine Cleaner to support our facility and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shop environment, including both general facility cleaning and machine/equipment cleaning. If you take pride in your work, notice the details others miss, and can work independently, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Perform general shop and facility cleaning, including:
  • Removing trash
  • Vacuuming and dusting
  • Scrubbing and maintaining floors
  • Cleaning and stocking restrooms
  • Using sweepers, scrapers, and other cleaning equipment
• Clean machines and equipment, including:
  • Removing and cleaning chip conveyors
  • Cleaning out chips and pulling chips from thread cutters
  • Changing coolants
  • Cleaning the exterior of machines
  • Maintaining tools after use
• Perform minor building maintenance as needed
• Safely operate B&G equipment and use chemical cleaners according to manufacturer specifications
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures and wear required PPE at all times

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least
  1 year of cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience
• Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers and read labels
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift or moving equipment certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items up to
  25 lbs
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach overhead and below the knees
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
