Role: Jira / Atlassian Implementation Consultant Location: Dallas, TX / Bedminster, NJ Experience: 5–10 Years Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Jira Implementation Consultant to lead the design, deployment, migration, and optimization of Atlassian Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence solutions for enterprise teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Jira Cloud/Data Center implementation, workflow customization, automation, integrations, dashboarding, and user enablement. This role requires strong client-facing skills and the ability to translate business processes into scalable Jira solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end Jira implementations from discovery to go-live Gather business requirements from engineering, PMO, ITSM, and operations teams Configure and customize: Jira projects Workflows Issue types Screens Custom fields Permission schemes Notification schemes Implement Jira Service Management (JSM) for ITSM, change, incident, and request workflows Build Confluence spaces, templates, and knowledge repositories Create advanced dashboards, filters, and executive reports Develop automation rules using Jira Automation / ScriptRunner Perform Cloud to Cloud / Data Center to Cloud migrations Integrate Jira with: ServiceNow Azure DevOps GitHub / Bitbucket Slack / MS Teams CI/CD tools Configure SSO, user provisioning, and security policies Conduct UAT, user training, and post-production support Create technical documentation, SOPs, and KT materials Partner with Agile teams to implement Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and DevOps workflows Required Skills 5+ years of Atlassian Jira implementation experience Strong expertise in: Jira Software Jira Service Management Confluence Atlassian Cloud / Data Center Hands-on experience in: Workflow design Automation rules Dashboards & reporting Marketplace apps Experience with: ScriptRunner JMWE Tempo Xray / Zephyr API integration experience using REST APIs Scripting knowledge in Groovy, Python, or PowerShell Experience with Agile, SDLC, ITSM, and DevOps lifecycle Strong troubleshooting and migration experience Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Good Luck!
