Composite Boat Builder / Fiberglass Laminator

This role focuses on building high-quality composite boats by laminating fiberglass, trimming and assembling components, and ensuring every part meets strict quality standards. You will work from blueprints and work instructions, use power tools and hand tools safely, and contribute to a clean, organized, and production-ready environment while collaborating closely with your team.

Responsibilities
  • Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and specifications to build composite boat components accurately.
  • Trim, assemble, and finish fiberglass and composite components to meet quality and dimensional requirements.
  • Perform fiberglass lamination and related tasks using appropriate tools, materials, and techniques.
  • Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report issues as needed.
  • Document work performed according to company guidelines and production requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and production-ready throughout the shift.
  • Take direction from team leads and support overall production and output goals.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines, quality standards, and production schedules.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience or strong aptitude working with fiberglass and composite materials.
  • Experience using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Dependable, on-time, and consistent attendance.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques and processes.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work cooperatively as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience with boat building, rigging, or marine manufacturing is a plus.
  • Prior lamination or composite manufacturing experience is beneficial.
  • Comfort working in a production environment with defined safety and quality procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moncks Corner, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
