Essential Function Supervises the daily activities of cadets including meals, recreational, instructional, work activities and service communities. Applies military training principles and practices in guiding and training cadets using TAC Method. Trains assigned cadets in drill & ceremony as well as physical training. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications Military Applicants: Requires the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma. Requires satisfactory completion of a four-year active military service tour or a six-year Reserve component tour. Requires the completion of Warrior Leadership Course (WLC) or the military equivalent course. Non-Military Applicants: Requires the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of a high school diploma. Requires six years direct experience working with or leading at-risk adolescents/teenagers in non-profit, governmental or faith-based settings such as youth services, social services, education or law enforcement agencies.

Preferred Qualifications Military Applicants: Prefers the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of an associate's degree in a related field. Prefers knowledge of military structure and procedures (drill and ceremony, physical fitness, customs & courtesies). Prefers the ability to manage a team and maintain a military style atmosphere. Prefers the ability to establish patterns of communication with people and present written and/or oral reports. Non-Military Applicants: Prefers the knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of an associate's degree in a related field. Prefers knowledge of military structure and procedures (drill and ceremony, physical fitness, customs & courtesies). Prefers the ability to manage a team and maintain a military style atmosphere. Prefers the ability to establish patterns of communication with people and present written and/or oral reports.

Employment Condition Requires the ability to pass a DoD background investigation. Requires a valid driver's license in the appropriate classification as required by law. Required to work a flex work schedule including weekends and evenings when necessary to meet agency needs. Required to adhere to organizational grooming standards and present a professional appearance while wearing organizational issued, activity appropriate attire while on shift. This position is considered medium work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(c)). Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Work Hours: (Two (2) shifts) Morning Shift: 5:00am - 1:30pm Mid Shift: 1:00pm - 9:15pm
