JOB TITLE: Lead Secretary Support Services - Transportation, Maintenance/Grounds, and Custodial

WORK SCHEDULE: 240-Day Calendar/12-months/8-hrs

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations & Facilities

SALARY RANGE: Per Classified Salary Schedule and includes a Comprehensive Benefits Package. Twelve-month position with a 240-day contract (8 hours per day)
Salary range is $20.02 - $36.20 per hour, depending on education and experience.

SUMMARY: Responsible for providing a variety of administrative duties and support for the Director of Operations & Facilities, the Transportation Manager, Maintenance, Grounds, and Custodial Manager with various duties. Coordinate, prepare, maintain, and organize department files, documents, and reports. Arrange meetings, scheduling, and calendar; prepare and monitor department budgets, grants, or bonds; and respond to questions from other staff and the community.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the responsibilities, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the director, department managers, and staff, but not limited to, answering and routing calls, greeting visitors, and responding to questions from other staff and the public.
  • Arrange meetings, manage calendars and schedules; distribute memos, notices, minutes, forms, agendas, and other correspondence.
  • Provide radio dispatch with immediate support for drivers and bus assistants on student transportation issues.
  • Assist with student transportation bus registrations submitted online or in person.
  • Assist in communicating route information to parents and schools.
  • Maintain filing and record-keeping system, and ensure safe retention of office records.
  • Report employee absences.
  • Process account payables entries, process purchase orders, and order supplies and equipment.
  • Compile, organize, analyze complex data, and prepare reports.
  • Work on special projects as needed.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:

  • Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers, peripherals, and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Google platforms, routing systems, and/or other department software packages.
  • Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as telephones, copiers, email, etc.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Assignment starting date within two weeks/negotiable
  • All contracts of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education.
  • Direct deposit of payroll is a condition of employment.
  • Position reports to the Superintendent
