Limited Term Custodian

Position Overview

This position helps maintain clean, safe, and welcoming City facilities for employees, residents, and visitors. Through daily custodial services and attention to detail, this role supports healthy work environments, positive public experiences, and the overall appearance and functionality of City buildings. The work performed in this position contributes to the comfort, cleanliness, and professionalism of spaces used by the community and City staff every day.

Position Functions

Assist the custodial staff when additional personnel are needed to perform custodial duties in various City Buildings.

• Perform custodial duties to include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, collecting trash and light cleaning.
• Clean restrooms, kitchens and common areas.
• Drive to and from various City Locations.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in cleaning or custodial field.
• Must be able to work various hours to include evenings and weekends.
• Valid Driver License Must obtain Florida driver license within thirty (30) days of employment.

Supplemental Information

Applicants will be required to complete a Disclosure & Authorization Regarding Background Investigation, a Confidentiality Agreement and a criminal background screening. Driving history for the past three (3) years must reflect no violations of a driving related felony offense, or driving under the influence (DUI) which includes both drugs and alcohol, reckless driving, or hit and run involving an occupied vehicle or attended property, or an accumulation of traffic violations, plus three (3) points for each attendance at driving school (regardless of whether points were assessed against the license) where the penalty points do not exceed twelve (12).
