Position Title: Logistics and Customs Compliance Support (Contractor)
Vertical: Admin
Location: Onsite | San Jose, CA Headquarters | 5 days a week
Employment Type: Contract
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Logistics and Customs Compliance Support Contractor to assist in daily logistics operations and customs compliance activities. This role will support shipment tracking, transportation coordination, customs clearance, vendor management, and internal compliance tracking. You'll also play a key role in resolving discrepancies, maintaining classification accuracy, and contributing to data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily logistics operations including shipment tracking, transportation coordination, and resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist in Customs compliance tasks such as C-TPAT, regulatory documentation, and HTS code maintenance.
- Work closely with customs brokers to resolve customs clearance issues and monitor tariff changes.
- Review, validate, and process vendor invoices related to logistics services.
- Monitor incident reports for shipment exceptions and take corrective actions as needed.
- Support internal operations like RMA, scrap orders, and vendor registration activities.
- Analyze logistics data and assist with vendor performance reviews, QBRs, and KPI monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records related to import/export activities and support internal audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Logistics Management, Transportation, or Import/Export compliance.
- Strong understanding of customs regulations and classification processes (HTS codes).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, formulas, and pivot tables).
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Self-motivated, assertive, and results-driven with a problem-solving mindset.
- Curious and adaptable; you approach challenges with resilience and a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
