Lum Picking

Job Summary:

The Order Picker is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders using RF scanning equipment in a fast-paced, climate-controlled distribution center. This role supports the distribution of medical supplies for Northeast Georgia hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick orders using RF scanners and picking carts or equipment
• Accurately locate, select, and verify products based on system instructions
• Pack, label, and stage completed orders for shipment
• Maintain accuracy and productivity standards
• Perform quality checks to ensure correct items and quantities
• Assist with restocking and replenishment of pick locations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines
• Support other departments as needed (cross-training required)

Requirements:

• Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred
• RF scan experience required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable with strong attendance
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or on a team

Schedule & Work Conditions:

• Must be able to work up to 12-hour shifts, 7 days/week during start-up
• Flexible for weekends, holidays, and shift changes
• Initial start time: 5:00 AM (subject to change)
• Climate-controlled facility
• No heavy lifting required
