SUMMARY
The primary purpose of a CDL Delivery Driver is to assist customers with their building needs and deliver materials to customers' houses/jobsite. This is a year-round position, reporting to the Lumber Yard Foreman.
Regular business hours (Monday through Saturday, 7AM-5PM) are typical. This position may require evening and weekend hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knows and observes PA state driving laws and regulations
- Performs the function of loading and unloading, gathering and separating, stocking and shipping materials directed by the yard foreman
- Understands and observes the load capacity of trucks
- Assists customers on jobsite and at the lumber yard
- Performs pre trip drivers check on trucks
- Must be familiar with our company's credit policy and terms of sale
- Maintains commercial driver's license and medical card
- Required to work various shifts as project and lumberyard needs dictate
- Assumes other duties as workload or needs dictate
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Must have 1 year of driving experience in a commercial setting
- CDL class B license (L Airbrake Endorsement; preferred)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent

- Experience in supervising and working cross functionally with all levels of management
