Maintenance Assistant

Carefree Living by Oxford Living in Ely and Babbitt MN are looking for a full time Maintenance Assistant to join our growing and established Assisted Living communities. Schedule: Position is Full-Time, with weekend or after-hours as necessary in an emergency situation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preventative maintenance
• General repairs
• Painting and maintaining interior and exterior of the building
• Mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, shoveling, snow removal etc.
• Attend to parking area and yard-property for orderly appearance and clean of debris
• Prepare resident rooms upon vacancy
• Perform duties of carpet and floor cleaning
• This position requires the employee to supply and maintain their own tools necessary to perform assigned maintenance duties.
• This position will be responsible for Ely and Babbitt facilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must be hard working and self-motivated. Proven work history available to verify mechanical skill level is required.
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in building maintenance or related field is preferred.
• Position requires the ability to accurately and independently direct and follow through on work activities.
• Candidates must be willing to interact with others - experience in the senior housing industry preferred, not required.
• Candidates will be subject to a criminal background study and must be able to meet the mental and physical requirements of the position.
