Maintenance Technician

Turnbridge has an immediate opening for a qualified Maintenance Technician. Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered. The Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility.

What typical duties would look like per season are as follows:

  • Inspections and Maintenance: Regularly inspect buildings, systems, and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure everything is functioning correctly.
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and address malfunctions, performing repairs or scheduling specialized services when needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Routine maintenance procedures to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
  • Grounds Keeping: Maintain outdoor areas by mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and removing debris.
    • Spring: Lawn-care/Spring Cleaning (Outdoor)/Mulch/Planting/Paint
    • Summer: Lawn-care/Gardening/Paint
    • Fall: Lawn-care/Leaves/Paint
    • Winter: Snow cleanup/Outdoor Cleanup (sticks, branches, etc.)/Paint
  • Facility Cleanliness: Ensure the facility is clean and free from hazards, both inside and outside.
  • Safety: Follow safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Minor Repairs: Make minor building repairs, such as fixing drywall or repairing doors.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid CT driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Willing to commit to an on-call schedule in the winter when it snows.
  • Must be able to work independently and complete tasks in expected time frame.
