Examination Schedule

• Written Exam: Qualified candidates will be notified of the testing date five days prior to the examination.

Examination: Written (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of assessing the applicant's knowledge of practices, methods, tools, equipment and materials used in the plumbing trade; hydraulics as it relates to flow rates, pipe sizes and water pressures; operation of plumbing systems and fixtures; applicable plumbing codes. Applicants must attain at least 70 % score on each phase of the examination process.

Minimum Qualifications / Employment Standards:

• Four (4) years of experience under the supervision of a journey level plumber.
• OR an approved apprenticeship certificate.
• Possession of a valid Class "C" Driver's license is required upon appointment.
• Candidates may be required to pass a thorough background investigation. Except for minor traffic violations, minor traffic violations, misdemeanor and felony convictions may be disqualifying.
