The Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving the reliability, efficiency, and performance of all plant equipment and systems within a food manufacturing environment. This role focuses on driving proactive maintenance strategies, reducing downtime, and implementing data-driven reliability improvements to support production, food safety, and operational excellence.

Job Details

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering required
  • 3–7+ years of experience in maintenance/reliability engineering in manufacturing (food preferred)
  • Experience in high-speed production or packaging environments strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Reliability methodologies (RCA, FMEA, RCM)
    • Preventive & predictive maintenance programs
    • Asset lifecycle management and failure analysis
  • Experience with:
    • CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.)
    • PLCs, automation, and manufacturing control systems
    • Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a GMP or SQF-certified food manufacturing environment
  • Certification in reliability or maintenance (e.g., CMRP)
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience
