SCOPE OF POSITION: Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all aspects of building maintenance, facility and appliance repairs. This is a multiple skill position provided at all locations and regions within the agency. The position requires skilled and semi-skilled tasks performed while providing the repair and/or maintenance of vehicles, machinery, equipment, residential homes, and offices. Position requires independent judgement, organizational, and time management skills. On occasion, overtime is required to fulfill the needs of the agency. Work orders will be at the discretion of the Maintenance Director based on agency needs and available resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform scheduled on-call responsibilities as required.
Travel to multiple regional facilities as required.
Able to operate woodworking tools and equipment.
Able to complete all phases of drywalling including repair.
Able to paint interior and exterior of facilities as required.
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and outdoor facility maintenance.
Able to perform lawn maintenance and seasonal upkeep.
Able to snow blow, snowplow, shovel and remove snow as required.
Perform upkeep and repair all household appliances including electronic devices.
Schedule all maintenance and upkeep on vehicles including all paperwork required by regulations, laws or policy.
Perform scheduled tasks as required such as:
Semiannual furnace inspections
Flushing out hot water tanks
Furnace filter replacement
Annual water u/v light replacement
As needed regulatory water temp adjustments
Repair and maintain household appliances to include but not limited to:
Washing machines, clothes dryers, refrigerators, furnaces, boilers, dishwashers, & microwaves
Design, construct and erect wheelchair ramps, decks and porch additions.
Perform other duties as directed and assigned
