Rqeuirements: Full Time Mon-Friday 8am - 4:30pm

  • Some weekends
  • Future oncall
  • 5 Years experience
  • Certification in either:
    • HVAC
    • Plumming
    • Electrical
  • Resteraunt/ Appliance equipment repair a plus .

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assists other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on systems and equipment as required.
  • Performs preventative maintenance duties to all physical structures and complies with all building & OSHA safety codes and regulations. This is to include facility equipment and associated controls.
  • Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
  • Works days, evenings or nights as required performing required duties. Participates in the departments on call schedule.
  • Performs manual duties as requested (i.e. moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash scrap material).
  • Uses and maintains basic tools and equipment required to perform duties.
  • Attends in-service meetings, daily meetings & filling out work order forms.
  • Replaces, installs, repairs, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, appliances, and lighting systems as required.
  • Performs corrective, routine, and requisitioned work on plumbing systems as required.
  • Performs corrective, routine, and requisitioned work on electrical and mechanical systems as required.
  • Maintains and repairs controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots electrical wiring and emergency generator systems as required.
  • Inspects and tests equipment/systems.
  • Coordinates other Maintenance Technicians in repairs, installations, and/or projects.
  • Responds to code red alerts.

  • Other duties as requested or assigned.

Educational, Physical, and Other Requirements:

  • Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse (Learn more: https://info.flclearinghouse.com)
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent,
  • Valid Florida drivers license in good standing.
  • Experience in building/facility maintenance
  • Vo-tech experience and/or certification/license in a related maintenance field required.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Physical requirements may include frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift, stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and smell. Vision abilities may require close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • For the safety and security of our residents and patients, employees must be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English, which is the most universally used language of our resident and employee population.
  • Quality Assurance & Safety: Adherence to all OSHA/NFPA and building codes, adherence to all policies / procedures and safe work practices.
  • Must supply own small power tool, hand tools, and specialty tools necessary for this position.

  • Must maintain a professional, respectful, friendly demeanor with all residents, family members, guests, and staff at all times.
