Maintenance Team Member

We are looking for the newest member of our Maintenance team!

Description:

• Performs skilled woodwork in layouts, installations and alterations of cabinets, counter-tops and small remodeling projects.
• Performs skilled woodwork in maintenance and repairs of doors, trim, furniture and building structures.
• Makes rough sketches and estimates of materials needed for a job.
• Repairs walls by applying drywall in the appropriate steps to completion.
• Maintains appearance of furniture, wood and walls by applying a matching coat of paint, stain or varnish as needed.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license
• CDL with passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain one, satisfactory driving record and insurable under New Hope's insurance.
• Subject to the Federal Transit Administration's Drug and Alcohol Testing Rule.

Required: High School diploma or equivalent and job-related training

Preferred: Technical training in finish carpentry, woodwork, dry-wall installation and painting. Training in appliance, electrical and plumbing repair.

Summary:

• Knowledge in appliance, electrical, plumbing and heating repairs.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of materials, supplies and equipment.
• Ability to operate lawn equipment, forklift and other maintenance vehicles.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals served and staff.
• Skilled in finish carpentry and woodwork
