Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to support operations within an industrial facility environment in Williamsburg, VA. This 3-month contract-to-hire role is is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical aptitude, basic electrical and plumbing skills, and the ability to work independently in a physically demanding environment. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm.

Job Description:
• Perform maintenance and repairs across building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and structural components
• Complete work orders related to building and grounds maintenance, including painting and general repairs
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and minimize downtime
• Support maintenance of HVAC and other critical systems as needed
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in on-call rotation
• Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE in an industrial environment
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials in accordance with safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Utilize basic computer systems and tablets to manage work orders and communication

Must Have Qualifications:
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance experience
• Basic electrical and plumbing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage daily work orders effectively
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions, including climbing stairs, working on rooftops, and lifting heavy materials
• High school diploma or GED required
• Basic computer and tablet skills for work order management

Nice to Have Qualifications:
• HVAC experience
• Forklift operation experience
• Experience with dock doors, levelers, or industrial equipment
• Trade school training or relevant certifications
