Maintenance Technician (Grow into Production Leadership)

Houston, TX

If you're the person everyone calls when something breaks... and you actually want more than just fixing things this is where that turns into a career.

This is a hands-on maintenance role first, with a clear path into production leadership. You'll start by learning the equipment, understanding the operation, and becoming the go-to problem solver. Then grow into leading the floor.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot and repair:
    • Hydraulic systems, hoses, and valves
    • Motors, drives, relays, fuses
    • Pneumatics and basic electrical systems
  • Work directly on:
    • Roll forming equipment
    • Stamping operations
    • Powder coating lines (conveyors, ovens, wash systems)
  • Handle changeovers:
    • Fixtures, tooling, bolts, mechanical adjustments
  • Read prints and diagnose issues using a multimeter
  • Support robotic welders (basic adjustments and troubleshooting)
  • Identify problems, fix them, and keep production moving

This is real maintenance not sitting behind a screen.

Where This Role Goes

This is not a dead-end maintenance job.

Within months, you will:

  • Work directly with the Plant Manager
  • Learn how the plant runs end-to-end
  • Get exposure to operations and leadership
  • Train at other facilities (AL, PA)
  • Begin stepping into a production leadership / superintendent track

What You Need to Bring

  • Industrial maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting (hydraulics, fabrication mindset)
  • Ability to read prints and troubleshoot with a multimeter
  • Basic electrical knowledge (panels, motors, relays, drives)
  • Some pneumatics experience
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
  • Desire to grow into leadership
