An opportunity is available for a skilled professional with expertise in Imaging-Mammography to contribute to diagnostic excellence within a robust clinical team. In this contract position, your primary focus will be performing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, supporting optimal patient care, and collaborating closely with radiologists and other imaging professionals.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time commitment
  • On-call responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • ARRT registration in Radiography and Mammography
  • Active California Radiologic Technologist License
  • Active California Mammographic Technologist License
  • Active California Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist License
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
  • California Venipuncture Certificate (required within 3 months of hire)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mammography technology

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screening and diagnostic mammography following established protocols, ensuring optimal positioning and image quality
  • Adhere to ALARA radiation safety standards
  • Coordinate imaging exams with physicians and other clinical partners, maintaining efficient workflow
  • Retrieve and review prior images for accurate comparison and interpretation
  • Provide clear patient education on breast health and self-exam techniques
  • Serve as a technical resource for quality control and operation of breast imaging equipment
  • Assist with Bone Density exams, and support CT, General X-Ray, and Fluoroscopy/OR procedures as needed
  • Participate in departmental committees and educational outreach initiatives
  • Advocate for patients to streamline their experience and minimize delays

Physical & Work Demands:

  • Standing/walking for extended periods (4-6 hours/day)
  • Ability to bend, crouch, balance, and push heavy equipment
  • Lift up to 35 pounds
  • Potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical agents
