Material Handler- 1st Shift

Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations on 1st shift. This role involves handling materials, supporting shipping/receiving, and ensuring accurate inventory movement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and put away incoming materials in proper locations
• Pick, stage, and package materials for shipment
• Load and unload trucks as needed
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (if certified)
• Maintain accurate inventory through system updates and physical movement
• Ensure materials meet quality standards before shipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with general warehouse duties including removing debris and organizing materials
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of warehouse or material handling experience preferred
• Experience operating a forklift or similar equipment preferred
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Ability to use handheld scanners or warehouse systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Work Environment & Schedule

• 1st shift (Monday-Friday; hours may vary based on workload)
• Warehouse or yard environment (may include indoor/outdoor conditions)
• Physical role requiring lifting, standing, and movement throughout the shift
