Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations on 1st shift. This role involves handling materials, supporting shipping/receiving, and ensuring accurate inventory movement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and put away incoming materials in proper locations
- Pick, stage, and package materials for shipment
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (if certified)
- Maintain accurate inventory through system updates and physical movement
- Ensure materials meet quality standards before shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with general warehouse duties including removing debris and organizing materials
- Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–2 years of warehouse or material handling experience preferred
- Experience operating a forklift or similar equipment preferred
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Ability to use handheld scanners or warehouse systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Work Environment & Schedule
- 1st shift (Monday–Friday; hours may vary based on workload)
- Warehouse or yard environment (may include indoor/outdoor conditions)
- Physical role requiring lifting, standing, and movement throughout the shift
