Material Handler

Peoplelink Staffing has partnered with a leading global manufacturer specializing in consumer product dispensers, active packaging, and pharmaceutical products. Our customer provides valves, pumps and closures for the pharmaceutical, beauty, food, and home care markets. We are excited to hire Material Handlers for their McHenry, IL and Cary, IL facilities.

Material Handler Job Summary:

• Multiple schedules available
• Day and night shifts
• 12 hour work days
• Work 3-4 days per week
• $18.50 - $20.50 per hour
• Temp to Hire

Material Handler Duties:

• Orders component parts internally through computer entry
• Delivers component parts to work stations by hand or by using hand trucks and/or pallet jacks
• Moves cartons of assembled products from work stations
• Verifies correctness through visual inspection and reading box labels
• Fill machine hoppers
• Perform record keeping duties, weigh scrap record data
• Use of handheld scanner

Material Handler Qualifications:

• A team player who works well with others
• A strong work ethic
• Growth mindset
• High school diploma/GED or work equivalent experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
