Material Handler / Warehouse Associate

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler / Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role involves material movement, inventory control, and order fulfillment using various types of powered industrial equipment.

This position is intended to convert to a full-time role within 90 days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate sit-down forklift, stand-up reach truck, and order picker
  • Work at elevated heights (up to 20+ ft) using order picking equipment
  • Receive, unload, and store incoming materials
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders using RF scanners
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory
  • Load and ship outgoing materials with proper documentation
  • Record inventory transactions using warehouse systems (SAP preferred)
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license (required for equipment operation)
  • 1+ year of forklift experience (sit-down, stand-up, and order picker)
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 20+ feet
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience using RF scanners
  • Previous warehouse or material handling experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Work Environment
  • Employees may operate an order picker for extended periods
  • Work involves elevated racking systems (not ladder-based)
  • Candidates must be comfortable working at heights
