Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you will be a vital part of operations, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies within our facility. Your role will involve safe handling, storage, and distribution of materials, contributing to the efficiency and success of our production processes.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
  • Pressure wash inbound equipment to meet cleanliness standards
  • Monitor and track deliveries of parts from the warehouse to the service department
  • Ensure accurate receipt and staging of incoming materials and equipment
  • Assist with organization of the yard, shop, or warehouse areas
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
  • Perform general labor and support tasks as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in material handling or a related role in an industrial setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain orderly storage areas and accurate inventory records.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and relay information regarding material movements.

Safety and Environmental Factors: All employees are expected to adhere to the company’s safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
