This position is a rotating 8hr shift. (8AM-4PM, 4PM-12AM, 12AM-8AM)

Main Purpose of Job
The Material Handler- Packers are responsible for supporting the Cold End Operators that tend the draw line where pharmaceutical glass tubing is produce. Primarily, the material handlers will support the operators by packaging, performing uploads on computers, and labeling finished ware to be shipped to the customer. The material handlers will be also be expected to perform in process quality inspections, maintain proper housekeeping, and follow all work rules, work instructions, and SOPs that govern the organization.
Main Activities and End-Results Expected
1. Support cold end operators tending the production line
2. Visually inspect and discard nonconforming product.
3. Upload, label, and complete pallets for final packaging.
4. Package, sort, handle, and create bundles pharmaceutical grade tubing
5. Maintain, replenish, and inspect work space to ensure the proper materials are available and in their correct place according to 5s.
6. Routinely clean and organize workspace
7. Communicate professionally with all levels of the organization. Demonstrate teamwork mindset and influence others to do the same.
8. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and/or oral instructions.
9. Follow through with any additional tasks you are asked to do.
Education:
High school diploma or (GED)
Experience:
An equivalent combination of experience, education and training, which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities of this classification. Must successfully complete all required company training and certification before progressing to the next level of proficiency.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts/equipment, airborne dust, hot molten glass, airborne glass particulate. The employee is exposed to hot and cold weather conditions, risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to loud noise in the work environment.
