Material Handler - Paint Line

The Material Handler - Paint Line preps parts to be painted and performs quality inspections and rework after painting is complete.

What You'll Do

  • Demonstrate the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.
  • Hang parts to be painted on paint racks. Prep parts as needed before they go into the paint booth.
  • Inspect parts after painting and rework as necessary.
  • Remove materials from paint line racks and move them to designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Mark materials with identifying information.
  • Drive forklift or other material handling vehicles when necessary.
  • Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offer suggestions and makes improvements that achieve the department's performance board metrics.

What We're Looking For

  • High School diploma or general education degree.
  • Less than one-year related experience and/or training.
  • Successful completion of Vermeer forklift certification as required for the work location.
  • Effectively present information verbally and written and respond to questions from groups of managers and suppliers.
  • Perform basic functions in Glovia.
  • Perform problem solving techniques and root cause analysis.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration

Must have the ability to obtain a Vermeer Forklift Operators License.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
