Material Handler
The Material Handlers will perform the physical tasks involved in the staging of materials, parts and supplies to and for autonomous vehicles (robots) and automation manufacturing cells. Specifically, the material handlers will be using small VacuPik vacuums to load silicone parts into trays and staging them for production. The distribution and staging needs to occur in a fast pace environment in order to facilitate continuous production. This position will be responsible to stage components used in manufacturing of product in a clean and safe environment and will need to adhere to cGMP within the cleanroom.
This is a weekend day shift position. Working hours are 6:00 am - 6:30 pm Friday - Sunday. Responsibilities include: working together with a team of material handlers and manufacturing technicians to supply automation manufacturing cells with all the materials and components needed for continuous production, communicating effectively with manufacturing technicians and warehouse operators to meet the needs of individual manufacturing cells, and timely and accurately staging materials and components in accordance with the production schedule. Additionally, the role involves filling trays with parts and components from pallets and performing other duties as required.
Preferred Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 0 -2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in Distribution, Receiving, or Manufacturing Support environment, experience working in the medical device industry, and proficiency in the English language. Skills and competencies include being a self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, ability to understand and follow standard operational procedures and follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision, ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and other employees, basic math and arithmetic skills, strong critical thinking and attention to detail, ability to work effectively with a team environment, ability to perform tasks with accuracy and reliability, and must be familiar with ergonomic lifting techniques.
Physical Requirements include the ability to lift and transfer loads up to 30 lbs, stand and bend up to 8 hours a day, and lift above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
This position requires on-site working (requires on-site office/plant/lab work).
Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $18.86 - $28.29. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
