Materials Handler (Wildland Fire)

As a Materials Handler (Wildland Fire) - Direct Hire Authority your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

1. Works in a large warehouse in support of wildland fire operations.
2. Prepares items and equipment for storage and shipment via various modes of transportation.
3. Performs on the shipping and receiving dock to meet operational objectives.
4. Work encompasses transportation dock management; permanent and temporary staging areas; material inspection, examining physical condition of supplies/equipment; custom packaging, specialty kit building; material repair and refurbishment; and general movement of materials.
5. Work involves the utilization of automated inventory programs, scanners and computer terminals to query and load data, and to access inventory information and process transactions.
