The Opportunity

As a Mechanical Maintenance & Reliability Engineer, you'll play a key role in improving equipment reliability and performance in a fast-paced sugar processing facility. You'll analyze mechanical systems, implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and lead projects that enhance uptime, efficiency, and safety.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift (occasional weekends for emergencies)

What You'll Do

  • Lead mechanical reliability efforts to reduce downtime and optimize maintenance performance
  • Develop and manage preventive/predictive maintenance programs (lubrication, vibration, thermography, etc.)
  • Conduct root cause analyses and recommend design or process improvements
  • Support maintenance budget planning and equipment life-cycle optimization
  • Lead or support capital improvement projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold plant safety and operational standards

What You'll Bring

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering (or related discipline with mechanical experience)
  • 5+ years of mechanical/reliability engineering experience in sugar, food, or industrial manufacturing
  • Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation systems
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, RCA, and CMMS (SAP-HANA preferred)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ProE, MATLAB, Excel, Power BI, or related tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
