Mechanical Inspector (Manufacturing)

MECHANICAL INSPECTOR

Summary of Position

Mechanical and visual inspection of turned and milled components made in our shop and outside suppliers. Working in accordance of ISO 9001-2015.

Requirements

Proficient using micrometers, drop indicators, height gage. Microview, OGP Vision System, Keyence, microscopes, shop math, and basic GDT and CMM Zeiss (training available for the right candidate)
• Professional/effective communication (verbal, written and interpersonal)
• Ability to analyze and identify problems, strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with basic ERP systems and Excel

Responsibilities
• Perform inspections: 1st piece, in-process, incoming and final
• Collect and analyze SPC data
• Create Defective Material Reports (DMR), issue internal and external/supplier rejects and Corrective Action Request (SCAR) reports
• Participate in Material Review Board process
