Medical Assistant (Full-Time) Memphis, TN | AFC Urgent Care

AFC Urgent Care is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join a high-volume, team-driven clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in efficiency, and wants to be fully involved in patient care from start to finish. This is not a slow-paced clinic. We're looking for someone who works with urgency, accuracy, and a strong team mindset.

What You'll Do

• Room patients, obtain vitals, medical history, and reason for visit
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
• Perform point-of-care testing (strep, flu, COVID, UA, etc.)
• Draw blood and process labs (in-house and reference lab)
• Administer medications and injections per protocol
• Perform drug screens, physicals, and occupational medicine services
• Prepare and clean exam rooms; sterilize instruments and maintain supplies
• Discharge patients with clear instructions and documentation
• Respond to patient calls, lab messages, and follow-ups
• Support overall clinic flow and step in where needed

What We're Looking For

• Medical Assistant certification preferred (AAMA, AMT, or equivalent)
• 1+ year experience in urgent care, ER, or busy outpatient setting preferred
• Comfortable with phlebotomy and lab work
• Ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy or patient care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to take ownership and support the team across all areas of the clinic
