Medical Operations Assistant Manager

Looking for a meaningful leadership role where you can make a real impact on the lives of individuals with complex needs? As part of the medical leadership team for Latham Centers' ALTR Group Home Program, you'll coordinate medical services and ensure regulatory compliance in collaboration with the Medical Operations Manager, maintaining consistent, high-quality care across homes. You'll streamline medical processes, oversee appointments and records, supervise Medical Assistants, and work closely with interdisciplinary teams and external providers to support timely, person-centered care while ensuring all practices align with DDS standards.

Location: Yarmouth Port, MA
Compensation: $48,000-$55,000 based on experience annually
Schedule: Mon- Fri 8a-4p

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Adult Services Nursing calendar and lead the staffing of scheduled and emergent appointments.
  • Coordinate completion of all pre- and post-appointment paperwork including but not limited to communication to group homes, nursing and DDS.
  • Assist and arrange appointment transportation and follow-up with Adult Services nursing staff, residential supervisors, and community medical providers.
  • Assist with and coordinate transportation of individuals to medical, psychiatric, and dental appointments.
  • Document appointment data and pertinent information in Therap.
  • Transport and/or administer medications in accordance with MAP regulations, as needed.
  • Attend Adult Services nursing team meetings, residential manager meeting as needed, weekly scheduling meetings as needed.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with medical and program staff.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Massachusetts DDS regulations and ensure full compliance within the medical department.
  • Monitor updates to DDS policies and communicate with the Medical Operations Manage to ensure policies and procedures remain current.
  • Participate in leadership and clinical team meetings.
  • Attend all required trainings and maintain current licensure and certifications.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of DDS procedures and regulations and experience working with a special needs population preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical record keeping, office work preferred.
  • Valid driver's license

Will attain (training provided by Latham):

  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
  • CPR/First Aid
  • MAPS certification for medication administration
