Job Summary

Assist the Manufacturing Technology Support Group with all aspects of material flow, inventory control, and purchasing related tasks. Support departmental operations by coordinating material transfers, maintaining accurate tracking systems, and facilitating deliveries across the James Avery organization and with external vendors. Help maintain accurate work orders, inventory, and documentation to ensure materials are available to support overall production readiness and departmental efficiency.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Handle all incoming and outgoing material transfers for QA, Tool & Die, and other MFG Support departments.
  • Maintain accurate inventories, including sub inventory transfers, aging reports, and Work in Progress (WIP) tracking.
  • Keep work order tracking systems current; follow up on missing or delayed items.
  • Perform Smartsheet status audits and update material or project status as required.
  • Receive, distribute, and prepare incoming materials, packages, and tooling needed by the departments.
  • Enter purchase requisitions, support purchasing activities, and complete receiving transactions in Oracle.
  • Manage domestic and international shipping and receiving (S&R).
  • Order required materials, tooling, and supplies to support departmental needs.
  • Conduct all necessary electronic transactions in Oracle, Smartsheet, and other platforms to ensure proper material flow and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing departments to review progress, identify issues, and make adjustments to support delivery schedules.
  • Ensure security and accuracy of inventory within assigned support functions.
  • Perform additional administrative or material handling duties as assigned.

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to maintain attention to detail and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to understand and work with computer systems.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 20lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
  • Ability to travel to various work locations as business need requires.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Inventory control experience.
  • Oracle or other ERP database experience.
  • Domestic & international shipping & receiving experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel to include spreadsheet design and formula entries.
  • Basic proficiency in Smartsheet.
