Maintenance Technician I
The Maintenance Technician I supports safe and reliable plant operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and maintaining facility systems. This role contributes to minimizing downtime and improving operational efficiency through timely repairs and proactive maintenance practices. The position also supports general plant operations and ensures a clean, organized, and compliant work environment. Success in this role is driven by mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure reliable operations
- Maintain facility systems and support equipment installations, moves, and light fabrication or welding activities as needed
- Monitor equipment performance to identify issues, minimize downtime, and recommend improvements
- Support plant operations through material handling, housekeeping, and operational assistance across production, warehouse, and shipping areas
- Manage maintenance supplies and spare parts usage while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ years of experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or a related industrial environment
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work orders, and safety procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts
- Experience with light fabrication or welding
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs in a manufacturing setting
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in industrial environments
