Our practice serves the entire Treasure Coast of Florida with four state-of-the-art offices conveniently located throughout St. Lucie and Martin Counties.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated New Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical terminology, medical records and administrative support. The primary purpose of the New Patient Coordinator position is to connect with new patients referred to the practice and ensure all patient intake forms are completed. They gather information about the patient and create patient records. They make appointments and schedule procedures for future medical treatments.
Duties:
- Handle phone calls, emails, and inquiries promptly and courteously
- Ensure exceptional customer experience throughout patient visit.
- Take ownership of the provider's schedules to ensure maximum efficiency and production.
- Act as a liaison between clinician and patient.
- Schedule new patient exams and reschedule when needed.
- Send new patient welcome email and required paperwork.
- Collect patient's insurance information prior to their scheduled appointment.
- Ensure patient's insurance eligibility is accurate.
- Ensure Health History forms are completed and submitted.
- Schedule patient appointments in appropriate and timely manner
The following skills and experience are preferred for the New Patient Coordinator role:
- Previous experience in urgent care, ER, or medical office setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
