JOB SUMMARY:
Perform all types of housekeeping tasks in a manor that provides a clean, safe and comfortable environment at the home of the consumer on Wesbury Campus or off campus in the greater community. The tasks are to be completed in accordance with the personalized guidelines described by the consumer's request and outlined on a Housekeeping service plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Please number)
- Know the consumers housekeeping expectations and assure the expectations are met.
- Regularly discuss any changes needed with the consumers' assurring customer satisfaction.
- Document new and/or update the previously documented expectations in a room by room breakdown.
- Schedule the consumer's appointment for housekeeping and maintain the schedule in the housekeeping schedule book as well as maintain the accuracy of the schedule in AOD software.
- Follow the daily schedule to arrive at the home of a consumer, ready to begin cleaning at the designated agreed upon cleaning time.
- Complete daily service plan indicating time of arrival and departure and break down of tasks completed. This form is to be signed by the consumer.
- Maintain the inventory of the necessary cleaning supplies. Complete necessary reorder forms for replenishment.
- Maintain a clean supply of rags and mop heads by taking the dirty to the designated area and picking up the clean.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: (Please number)
- Required to attend all Wesbury at Home meetings.
- Maintain the accuracy of the AOD on-line service record of the consumer in accordance to Wesbury at Home office requirements
- Create work instructions as requested by the Assistant Director or Community Services Coordinator that will assure an understanding for anyone being requested to perform duties of the housekeeper position.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually very quiet. Prolonged standing and walking, repeated bending, squatting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. The use of hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. Exposure to client elements including infection, odors and to peculiarities in behavior and reactions of the clients. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
High School graduate preferred.
Certification in CPR and First Aid
Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License
Working knowledge of computers, internet usage and word processing software
