Payroll Processor

Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees. Provide assistance in entering and paying all wage garnishments. Process property payroll transfer reports. Ensure benefits deductions are accurate. Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity. Provide support to the leadership team for various accounting-related projects. Accurately calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions including tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefits. Maintain updated employee files and input data into HRIS/payroll systems. Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements. Balance payroll records and review tax filings. Assist with audits as required. Resolve pay discrepancies and answer questions regarding paychecks. Handle payroll inquiries effectively. Demonstrate strong skills in payroll software and Microsoft Excel. Possess high accuracy in data entry and calculations to avoid legal or financial errors. Manage sensitive and confidential employee data with discretion. Understand labor laws, tax codes, and payroll compliance requirements. Communicate effectively with HR and finance teams as well as employees. Prior experience in payroll, accounting, or human resources is preferred. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is often preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required. Experience with QuickBooks and payroll processing software is preferred.
