Join our Driver Team today! Enjoy interacting with those in your community, while making a positive difference. As an Abby Van driver team member, you will assist clients as needed to and from their appointments by loading and unloading them in the vehicle. You must be a team player and able to work independently once trained.
Abby Vans Vehicle
It isplaced at your home. You are paid from the time you leave your driveway until you return. Tentative routes are sent to drivers the day before.
Benefits for full-time employees include Health Insurance, Health Savings Plan, PTO, Personal Days, and Double Time for holidays worked. These benefits are available only to full-time employees.
Prerequisites
- 21 years of age or older - 4-year min. driving experience
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License
- Good Driving Record
- Must pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen and be randomly tested thereafter
- 10 Year Background Check
- Pre-Requisite Certificates: CPR/First Aid Certification - Passenger Sensitivity - Defensive Driving *Abby Vans pays for cost of training but training time is not paid.
Physical Requirements
- Safely operate a motor vehicle in all weather conditions.
- Provide supervision/assist clients in entering and exiting the vehicle.
- Use proper body mechanics when loading and unloading clients.
- Secure vehicle passenger and wheelchair restraints
- Operate motor vehicle wheelchair lift/ramp on accessible vehicles.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 350 pounds as needed.

- Communicate and follow instructions from the office or clients.
