Occupational Therapist (School Based)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate occupational therapist to join our team in Fayette. This role involves working within a school setting to support students in achieving their educational goals by addressing physical, cognitive, and sensory challenges. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating students' abilities and developing individualized intervention plans.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments.
- Implementing therapeutic activities and exercises to improve students' functional skills.
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Providing training and resources to teachers and staff to support students' occupational needs.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an occupational therapist.
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
