The Division of Adult Institutions is currently recruiting to fill an Office Associate - Limited Term Employment position located at Dodge Correctional Institution (DCI) in Waupun, WI.
Note: Candidates must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin in order to be considered.
NOTE: LTE positions are limited to working a total of 1039 hours over a period of 12 months.
Position Summary
This position will provide administrative program support to Central Medical Records Department at DCI. Duties to include: shelving, retrieving and filing paper Health Care Records (HCRs), identifying, retrieving and reviewing the medical records of patients formerly under the care of DOC for retention or destruction based on the record retention rules, and scanning duties into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), as assigned.
Salary Information
The starting pay is $19.10 per hour. The pay schedule/range is 02-09.
Job Details
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have:
1. Education, training, and/or experience with modern office equipment and usage.
2. Education, training, and/or experience with computer operations, digital recording systems, and software implementations.
3. Education, training, and/or experience establishing and maintaining complex records, filing and workflow systems.
