Our mission is to ensure memories are delivered one piece of furniture at a time, on time, every time. We are looking for individuals experienced in logistics and transportation to add to our team who will contribute to achieving our mission.

Job Summary: We are looking for individuals experienced in logistics and transportation to add to our team. This role will handle day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency and time management. They will be responsible for streamlining administrative procedures, managing customer relationships, inventory control, office staff supervision, and task delegation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for staff - responding to feedback and suggestions, daily requests
  • Responsible for the appearance and functionality of the office - daily quality assurance and organization
  • Manage and negotiate many of the company's vendors including snacks, lunch, dinner, plants, etc.
  • Works closely with property management and our sub-Landlord to maintain our facilities
  • Help track and process expenses on a weekly basis
  • Partner with various internal teams such as IT, Accounting and HR to onboard employees and roll out processes
  • Provide concise, quality customer service in a professional and courteous manner to both internal and external customers.
  • Recognize and resolve documentation errors
  • Assist customers via phone, email and fax with inquiries including: tracing shipments and billing and/or invoicing questions
  • Perform general clerical duties as assigned, including: answering and directing phone calls, filing, data entry and billing
  • Process over, short and damaged freight and related documentation for customer resolution
  • Provide assistance to Contractor/Drivers
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading and preparing the orders for shipment
  • Responsible for cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and/or participates in projects as assigned by manager
  • Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks, maintaining a clean work environment including complying with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 5 years' administrative experience
  • Prior supervisory experience is required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong PC skills with a good understanding of Excel, Word, and Access software
  • Basic quantitative/financial analysis skills
  • Ability to facilitate trainings needs
  • Exemplifies strong ownership over projects from start to finish
  • Ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
  • Great communication skills
  • Highly organized
