Examples of Duties
Job Duties
- Receives, inspects and records new materials and equipment arriving for the Commission for distribution throughout Administration Building and all Turnpike buildings or locations.
- Maintains accurate records of all incoming and outgoing equipment and supplies.
- Schedules, prepares and assists with loading and unloading supplies and equipment for shipment or delivery to various Turnpike locations.
- Assembles and packages transponders for retail shipping.
- Print, cut and fold all E-ZPass inserts.
- Processes all office supply requisitions.
- Performs variety of miscellaneous duties e.g.
- Distributes the morning USPS mail for each department.
- Assembles and separates USPS mail for transport to offsite mail presort co.
- Facilitates UPS/FedEx incoming and outgoing packages.
- Prints and copies forms, reports, documents.
- Laminates retail point of purchase cards.
- Produces retirement certificate frames.
- Answers telephone calls.
- Acts as back-up for Switchboard daily and Courier position during absences.
- Assists in delivery and pick up pool cars to and from the repair shops.
- Performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Office Services Manager and/or Director of Administration.
Major Worker Characteristics
- Knowledge of office services policies and procedures.
- Federal postal regulations and procedures; printing procedures; inventory control.
- Codes and procedures for retention, destruction and distribution of records.
- Knowledge of fractions, decimals and percentages.
- Electronic data processing as applied to inventory control computer systems.
- Skill in the operation of a postage scale, meter machine, letter folder, copier machine, personal computer, transponder fulfillment equipment including tag tester and tag processor.
- Maintain accurate records; gather, collate and classify information about data, people or things.
- Cooperate with others on group projects.
- Carry out instructions in written, oral, or picture form.
- Stand, sit, walk, or bend continuously; lift up to 50 pounds.
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 12-months training or experience in inventory control
- Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required
