Orthodontic Assistant

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Orthodontic Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced specialty practice and thrives as part of a collaborative, patient-centered team. If you love helping patients feel comfortable while delivering outstanding orthodontic care, we would love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the orthodontist chairside during procedures including separators, wire changes, and appliance adjustments
  • Prepare teeth for bonding braces and Invisalign attachments
  • Take orthodontic X-rays, digital scans, and impressions
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and appliance care
  • Anticipate doctor needs and ensure efficient patient flow
  • Accurately chart treatment details and patient progress
  • Maintain clinical inventory and stock operatories
  • Follow sterilization and infection control protocols
  • Clean and organize treatment areas between patients

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three to five (3-5) years' experience as a Dental or Orthodontic Technician or relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Excellent speaking and listening skills, requiring the perception of speech.
  • Must have high finger dexterity to perform duties involving work on the computer.
