We are looking for a Cybersecurity Assistant who will report to the Cybersecurity Specialist and support the team with the contractor and trade partner coordination required to fulfill our subcontractor responsibilities under UFGS 25 05 11 Cybersecurity for Facilities Related Control Systems. Responsibilities are organized below.
Trade Partner Coordination. Day-to-day coordination.
Coordinates with prime contractor, trade partners, and in-scope subcontractors
Distributes UFGS 25 05 11 cybersecurity requirements to in-scope trade partners (HVAC, controls, electrical, BAS/BMS integrators, low-voltage)
Schedules and runs kick-off and recurring coordination meetings with trade partners
Tracks trade partner deliverables, submittals, and resubmittals
Manages RFI (Request for Information) intake, routing, and response logging
Maintains the trade partner roster, project scope assignments, and points of contact
Serves as the primary administrative liaison to the prime contractor’s cybersecurity team
Body of Evidence (BOE) Management. Document control
Maintains the organized BOE document library aligned to the UFGS submittal register
Tracks System Security Plan (SSP) and supporting artifact status
Manages submissions to the prime contractor and the Authorizing Official’s representative
Version controls cybersecurity deliverables and maintains revision history
Routes drafts to the Cybersecurity Specialist for technical review before submission
Cybersecurity Testing Coordination. Logistics for vulnerability and STIG compliance activities
Schedules vulnerability assessments and STIG compliance reviews with trade partners
Tracks remediation items from finding through closure
Coordinates Cybersecurity Test and Validation (CTV) activities with the prime contractor
Captures and files test artifacts in the BOE
Ideal Qualifications
Highly Organized, Action-Oriented, and Attentive to Detail
Comfortable with Remote Work Environment
Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-82 (a plus)
Familiarity with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) (a plus)
Experience Supporting Construction or Government-Contractor Project Teams (a plus)
CompTIA Security+ Certification (a plus)
DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher (a plus)
