Position Overview

The Overnight Delivery Driver is an entry-level role responsible for supporting overnight delivery operations and ensure timely distribution to all Kuppa Joy locations.

This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both
hands-on in the kitchen and independently during overnight delivery routes.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Food Safety

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, tools, and equipment
• Monitor product quality and notify leadership of any concerns
• Practice proper food handling, labeling, storage, and rotation (FIFO)

Overnight Delivery Driving

• Complete overnight delivery routes approximately one or two nights per week (Midnight to 5am)
• Provide additional coverage for the full-time driver as needed
• Safely load, transport, and unload food products to multiple store locations
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all deliveries
• Follow all traffic laws and company vehicle policies
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles

Teamwork & Professionalism

• Work cooperatively with kitchen team members and leadership
• Communicate clearly and respectfully during shifts
• Maintain punctuality, reliability, and a strong work ethic
• Be receptive to coaching, feedback, and ongoing training

Qualifications & Experience

• Preferred: 1+ year of kitchen, bakery, or driving preparation experience
• Ability to follow instructions and SOPs accurately
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Comfortable working independently during overnight shifts
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be 25 years or older to meet company vehicle insurance requirements

Physical & Scheduling Requirements (Essential Functions)

• Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Ability to bend, reach, squat, kneel, and perform repetitive motions
• Comfortable working evenings, overnight shifts (up to 12-5 AM), weekends, and holidays
• Comfortable driving overnight to Madera, Fresno, Clovis, and Visalia

Availability

• Minimum availability of 10-15 hours per week
• Typical schedule: Monday/Tuesday 12am to 5am or Tuesday/Wednesday 12am to 5am
• This role helps support our full time driver on his night off and vacation
• Must be available for overnight delivery shift at least once per week
• Flexibility to cover additional delivery shifts as needed

Requirements

• California Food Handler Certification (must obtain upon hire)
• Completion of pre-employment assessments (sent via email)
• Participation in a video interview as part of the hiring process
