Madden's is currently seeking a Public Area Attendant to ensure our guest areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Check for any maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing, lighting, HVAC) and report them.
  • Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, restaurants, etc.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and/or draperies.
  • Empties wastebaskets and transports waste to designated areas.
  • Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and/or polishes floors.
  • Dust and polishes all furniture and equipment.
  • Maintains storage areas and keeps linen carts clean and tidy.
  • Replace light bulbs in common areas and offices.
  • Maintains a safe working environment following the SDS manual for chemicals.
  • Monitors and cleans entries, stairs and/or sidewalks.
  • Assists guests whenever possible, i.e. Directions and resort information.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Skills and Abilities
  • Organized, great communication, decisive & flexible.
  • Must be able to work alongside other people and independently.
  • Time management.
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or experience in hotel cleaning roles.
Certificates/Licenses
  • Valid Driving License and company approval to drive company vehicles.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions, including heat. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and drive; talk or hear; stand; climb stairs; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift or move and carry upstairs 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds or more.

Expected Hours of Work: Night shift

Travel: Less than 10% travel required.
